Week 11 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups

Updated: Nov 12, 2019

In this article, we're going to talk about players who are owned in 50% or less in Yahoo leagues who SHOULD be owned in more leagues. We discuss 3 players per position that we think should be owned in both shallow AND deep leagues for Week 11 and beyond.

PLEASE NOTE: We have switched it up and ADDED a "Handcuff" Running Back list.

QB

1. Nick Foles (19% owned) - Foles is FINALLY making his return from the clavicle injury he sustained back in Week 1. Before going down, he was an efficient 5/8 for 75 yards and a TD. The Jaguars PAID him a lot of money over the offseason to be their guy, and he returns to an offense with plenty of weapons in Westbrook, Chark, and Fournette. He makes for a great depth add as well as a possible streamer in positive matchups.

2. Derek Carr (44% owned) - I'll just keep putting Carr on this list until the wheels fall off or his ownership reaches above the 50% mark. He keeps putting up consistently low-end numbers since his Week 6 bye week. He deserves to be added in deep leagues as bench depth, streamed in positive matchups when your QB hits their bye week.

*DEEP LEAGUE*

3. Kyle Allen (15% owned) - Allen threw for a career-high 307 yards last week against the Packers IN Lambeau. As long as he has McCaffrey, Moore, Samuels, and Olsen to throw the ball to, you can expect Allen to put up solid numbers for you in deep leagues.

RB

1. Brian Hill (2% owned) - Once Freeman went down, the KEYS to the offense were immediately given to Hill. Unfortunately, we don't know whether Freeman will miss Week 11 or not, but Hill is worth a speculative pickup either way given the scarcity of the RB position. Adding a possible workhorse running back this late in the season is risk you should take.

2. Derrius Guice (36% owned) - AP might get the ceremonial start in Week 11, but I see the Redskins giving the keys to Guice either Week 12 or shortly after. AP is always at risk of an injury and the Redskins want to see what they have in their former 2nd round draft pick. He's worth a flier pickup if you have room at the end of your bench.

3. J.D. McKissic (32% owned) - Ty Johnson sustained a concussion last Sunday, which means he will most likely miss Week 11 and possibly longer. McKissic was already getting the passing work, and he SHOULD get a lot more touches moving forward OR however long Ty Johnson is sidelined.

*HANDCUFF SPECIAL*

It's officially Handcuff SZN! The following Running Backs are widely available across Yahoo leagues and DESERVE to be owned in case of an injury. If you have room at the end of your bench then you should consider stashing one more more of these guys. Even if you don't own any of the top stud running backs, you should consider adding these guys as a potential playoff lottery ticket.

  • Reggie Bonnafon (3%)

  • Alexander Mattison (29%)

  • Tony Pollard (13%)

  • Rashaad Penny (25%)

  • Gus Edwards (9%)

WR

1. Cole Beasley (32% owned) - I've been saying this ALL season: Beasley is Allen's go-to guy. The Bills paid him a lot of money over the offseason to be Allen's safety valve and he KEEPS PRODUCING. He needs to be added in ALL PPR leagues, MOST .5 PPR leagues, and most leagues that start 3 Wide Receivers.

2. Mecole Hardman (27% owned) - For the simple fact that Hardman can go OFF on any play, he should be owned in more leagues. He had 1 target for 1 catch last week. Why would you add someone who only received one target? That ONE catch was a 63-yard TD from Mahomes. If Tyreek Hill goes down, Hardman becomes one of the top options in an explosive offense.

*DEEP LEAGUE*

3. Hunter Renfrow (10% owned) - Renfrow had another 5 target day, and he is quickly becoming a focal point in this Raiders offense led by Carr. While Carr is putting up solid numbers, Renfrow should keep producing. He is the safety valve in this offense. Renfrow has a solid floor in DEEP PPR and .5 PPR leagues.

TE

1. Darren Fells (43% owned) - Fells returns from his Week 10 bye week to STILL be the TD leader amongst all TEs with 6. Watson looks his way every time they are in the Red Zone, and for that reason alone, he deserves to be rostered and started in most leagues.

2. O.J. Howard (40% owned) - HE'S BACK! Or is he? Howard returned from his injury and received 7 targets against the Cardinals. The Cardinals are notorious for being generous against TEs, but it's nice to see Howard do what he was SUPPOSED to do. He had 4 catches for 47 yards and a TD. Why not give him a shot to see if he can keep this up in Week 11?

*DEEP LEAGUE*

3a. Noah Fant (12% owned) - Back in Week 9, I had Fant as a recommended add and streamer due to the change at QB. Fant rewarded my faith with 4 targets for 3 catches, 115 yards, and a TD. Even though that mostly came from a 75-yard touchdown play, THIS is the upside that Fant and the Broncos were hoping for when they drafted him in the first round.

3b. Dallas Goedert (17% owned) - Goedert has put up CONSISTENT numbers since Week 6 and he deserves to added and started in DEEP leagues. He is the direct handcuff to Ertz, and if Ertz goes down, Goedert becomes an EASY Top-5 option at a thin TE position. He still has Top-12 upside even with Ertz healthy.
